உப்புவெளி பொது நூலகத்தின் இணைய நூற்பட்டியல்

திருகோணமலை மிகவும் பழமைமிக்க அழகான நகரம் இயற்கைத் துறைமுகமும் பழமையும் புகழும் வாய்ந்த திருக்கோணேஸ்வரம் கோயில் இந் நகரத்திற்கு புகழ் சேர்க்கின்றது. பட்டனமும்சூழலும் பிரதேசசபை என்பது இம் மாவட்டத்தின் உள்ளுராட்ச்சி மன்றங்களிள் ஒன்று இவ் உள்ளுராட்சிமன்றம் நான்கு நூலகங்களைக் கொண்டுள்ளது. அவற்றுள் உப்புவெளி நூலகமும் ஒன்றாகும். இவ் நூலகம் உப்புவெளி பிரதேசசபைக்கு அருகாமையில் அமைந்துள்ளது. இவ் நூலகம் தரம் இரண்டைச் சேர்ந்தது. தமிழர்கள் சிங்களவர்கள் முஸ்லிம்கள் இந்த பிரதேசசபை எல்லைக்குள் வாழ்கிறார்கள் 9 பாடசாலையைச் சேர்ந்த மாணவர்கள் அங்கத்துவம் வகிக்கின்றனர். மூன்று மொழிகளைச் சேர்ந்த 12565 நூல்கள் இங்கு இருக்கின்றன. 2039 அங்கத்துவர்களை கொண்டது நாளாந்தம் 50 மேற்பட்டவர்கள் இவ் நூலத்தில் நூல்களை இரவலாக பெற்றுக் கொள்கின்றார்கள். இவ் நூலகத்தில் சிறுவர்பிரிவு, இரவல்பிரிவு, வாசிப்புபிரிவு, உசாத்துணைப்பிரிவு, நூல்கள் மட்டைகட்டும் பிரிவு, கற்றல்பிரிவு போன்றபிரிவுகளைக் கொண்டு இயங்குகின்றது.

2021 ஆம் ஆண்டில், தேசிய நூலக ஆவணவாக்கல் சேவைகள் சபையுடன் இணைந்து இலங்கை தகவல் தொடர்பாடல் தொழில்நுட்ப முகவர் (ICTA) நிறுவனத்தால் இப் பொது நூலகத்தில் "டிஜிட்டல் நூலக திட்டம்" நடைமுறைப்படுத்தப்பட்டது. ஒரு மேம்பட்ட மற்றும் புதுப்பிக்கப்பட்ட நூலக தன்னியமாக்கல் அமைப்பை வழங்குவதன் மூலமும், நவீன உட்கட்டமைப்பை அறிமுகப்படுத்துவதன் மூலமும், நாட்டில் நூலக அமைப்பின் தரம் மற்றும் செயல் திறனை மேம்படுத்துவதற்கு இது அவசியமாகின்றது. தற்போது நூலகம் பொதுமக்களுக்கு டிஜிட்டல் நூலக சேவைகளை வழங்குவதற்கு நவீன இலத்திரனியல் சாதனங்களுடன் முழுமையாக பொருத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்த ஆன்லைன் பொது அணுகல் பட்டியலாக்கம் (OPAC) மூலம் பயனர்கள் தேவையான புத்தகங்களை இலகுவாக தேடலாம், கண்டுபிடிக்கலாம், அதன் இருப்பிடத்தை அறியலாம் மற்றும் வைத்திருக்கலாம்.

Trincomalee is a Very Old and Beautiful Town. The Natural Harbor and Sandy Beaches Enhance The Beauty Of the Town. Town and Gravest Prabesiya Saba is One of the Local Bodies in the District Branches For this Library. They are in Sambalthievu. Chinabay and Vellamanal. The Uppuveli library Has Five Sections are Reading, lending, Reference, Binding and Learning. The Students Of nine Schools Enrolled Themselves As Members Of The Library Altogether the Number Of Members Are 2037 Over 50 Members Borrow Books From the Library Daily. There are About 12562 Books in Tamil, Sinhala and English. The Library Conducts Events Such as Reading Month and Local Covet Month The Library has been Functioning in the new building Since 2004.02.15.

In 2021, The Digital Libraries Project was implemented at this public library by the Information Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) in collaboration with National Library and Documentation Services Board by providing an advanced and updated library automation system and introduced modern infrastructure which is in demand to improve the quality and efficiency of the library system in the country. Presently the library is fully equipped with modern electronic devices to provide digital library services to the public. Users can easily search, find, locate and hold required books through this Online Public Access Catalogue.
